Let’s Build A Better Burlington - Together.

Change is coming to City Hall. On October 26th, we’re going to see new faces at Burlington City Hall. At least three current members of Council will not be returning, while others are facing spirited challenges from regular people tired of the status quo.

People feel we’re falling behind - prices are up for food, the poverty rate has steadily climbed since the pandemic, and affordable housing is still out of reach for many. While none of this is unique to our city, our politicians have been unable to keep up.

Instead of offering the solutions we need to bring in and keep young families and workers in Burlington, we’re being scolded by other levels of government to get our act together. We can’t continue this way if we want to keep Burlington vibrant.

My name is Kyle Hutton, a resident of Brant Hills passionate about pursuing a fairer society, creating more opportunities for families, and providing data-driven solutions. I’ve spent my career working as an advocate for people and the planet, pushing for positive change that will directly benefit the community we share.

I’m seeking to become your City & Regional Councillor with one primary goal in mind: getting us back on track. I don’t reject solutions or shut down debate over bruised egos, I want to get Council focused on the issues that matter: affordable housing, community safety, and responsible government.

Join me as we bring the movement for a better Burlington to City Hall this October.

Just some of what I will do as Ward 3 Councillor…

  • Push for an Inclusionary Zoning framework to be in place across Burlington, placing affordable housing at the forefront of our future developments.

  • Address the speeding problems on residential and rural roads by increasing enforcement and introducing new safety and direct traffic measures.

  • Move to a transparent continuous reporting model for city and regional budgets, with regular report cards on fiscal performance and transparency.

  • Build a Youth Wellness Hub in Burlington, boost support for mental health programs, and build up local solutions for homeless Burlingtonians.

  • Lobby the provincial and federal governments to increase the number of available spots for the $10-a-day childcare program in Halton Region.

  • Oppose any hyperscale AI datacentres in Halton Region via a moratorium.
