Change is coming to City Hall.
On October 26th, we’re going to see new faces at Burlington City Hall. Two incumbent Councillors are leaving to run for Mayor, while others are facing spirited challenges from everyday people tired of the status quo.
My name is Kyle Hutton, a longtime resident of Brant Hills passionate about pursuing a fairer society, creating more opportunities for families, and providing data-driven solutions.
We know Burlington is falling behind - prices are up for food and gas, affordable housing remains out of reach for many, and our poverty rate has climbed steadily since the pandemic. While none of this is unique to Burlington, our politicians have seemingly been unable to keep up with the solutions so far put on the table.
I believe we must do better. If residents are going to get ahead over the next four years, we’ll need someone in Council who won’t hesitate to embrace new ideas to address the problems and pressures our families, neighbours, and businesses are facing.
My guiding philosophy is simple: solutions over ambition. I’ve spent my political career working as an advocate for people and the planet, pushing forward good ideas regardless of their source. I don’t believe in rejecting a solution or shutting down debate simply because of someone’s partisanship or my own ego. Addressing the cost of living crisis and tackling head-on our worries requires honest collaboration between our representatives, an idea I’m eager to bring to City & Regional Council.
I’m asking for your support this election, so together we bring change that works for all of us at City Hall.
