About Ward 3

Ward 3 is Burlington’s largest municipal ward, spread across a variety of communities between the QEW/403 and Derry Rd. The Niagara Escarpment runs directly through the centre of the ward north of Hwy 5, hosting a unique ecosystem, beautiful trails (including a portion of the world-famous Bruce Trail), and providing a spectacular backdrop to the north Burlington community.

There are 15 schools, 22 parks (including Mount Nemo Conservation Area) servicing, and 5 major grocery stores serving a population of roughly 35,000 people as of 2025. As of the 2026 Municipal Election, Ward 3 has grown to encompass the Palmer and North Tyandaga communities from Ward 4 and Ward 1 respectively.
